I stayed with the teenage daughter of a friend from church every night this week. It made me realize how long it's been since I was 14. I am so not with it. But, I think she had a pretty good time.
We bonded over movies and fashion. Apparently, Jay and I have an okay taste in movies. And we spent evenings "deconstructing" a pair of her boot-cut jeans and transforming them into skinny jeans...she assured me it was okay with her mom. And then we broadened our sewing skills by making a pair of pajama pants. Love the rainbow skulls.
I still have a lot to learn about being a teenager. And as time goes by, I seem to be loosing knowledge as opposed to gaining it. By the time we're parents of teenagers, I'll be completely clueless.
Finished pajama pants

But at least you'll always be able to teach people have to make pajama pants! I STILL remember when we had a pajama pant party at my apartment!!! I love you, Ames!
I love you, too, Leesha! I remember making pants together. I also remember making X-mas pants for everyone freshman year. And I think that everyone wore their X-mas pants year-round until they had holes in them.
Apparently the pajama pants you make just aren't great quality. Because the pj pants I gave all my friends ended up with holes in them (and one of the holes caused kristin to fall and break her toe... she still blames the pants).
Or else they just love them soooooo much they wear them to death.
